Introduced in Germany by Johann Christoph Schmidt / Blumenschmidt in 1906 as 'Tausendschön'. Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in before 1911 as 'Tausendschön'. Hybrid Multiflora, Rambler. Pink, white center, ages to white . Deep rose-pink with white center. Mild fragrance. Average diameter 2.5". Medium, double (17-25 petals), in large clusters, cupped bloom form. Spring or summer flush with scattered later bloom. Climbing, thornless (or almost). Glossy, light green foliage. Height of 8' to 12' (245 to 365 cm). Width of up to 8' (up to 245 cm). USDA zone 6b and warmer. Can be trained as a climber.
